When Do I Use Credo?

Credo is a database that contains reference material such as encyclopedias and dictionaries. It is best used as a starting point for exploring an unfamiliar topic. Credo articles will provide you with a broad overview, but will not go in-depth like books or academic journal articles. For many subjects, Credo provides topic pages that collect information from their different reference books into a central hub page.

Once you've gathered background information, you can then use links from Credo to jump into the library catalog or NC LIVE for more in-depth information.
