Open Educational Resources (OER): Creative Commons Licensing

What is a Creative Commons License?

Creative Commons licenses provide an easy way to manage the copyright terms that attach automatically to all creative material under copyright. Creative Commons licenses allow that material to be shared and reused under terms that are flexible and legally sound. Creative Commons offers a core suite of six copyright licenses. All About Attributions

"All Creative Commons licenses require users to attribute the creator of licensed material, unless the creator has waived that requirement, not supplied a name, or asked that his/her name be removed. Additionally, you must retain a copyright notice, a link to the license (or to the deed), a license notice, a notice about the disclaimer of warranties, and a URI if reasonable."
