This session will cover how to navigate the new Evergreen library catalog and effectively use the updated library webpage. Participants will learn how to search for books in the new library catalog, place holds, and check their library account for updates. At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to confidently and easily use the new library catalog.

This session will address ACA 122’s specific role in transfer success, with a particular emphasis on transfer guides. Participants will learn how to utilize the Transfer Guides effectively in any classroom setting. This workshop includes Question and Answer/ Resource Sharing time. At the conclusion of this session, participants will 1) Understand the role of ACA in supporting student transfer success, 2) Learn how to navigate and utilize transfer guides, and 3) Gain insight into the tools and resources available to help students with transfer planning.

Participants will learn tricks and tools to navigate the marketing & PIO request form, as well as understand all the Print Shop offers. At the conclusion of this session, participants will be knowledgeable about services available through the Print Shop and Public Information Office.

Building Bridges in the Classroom: A Roundtable on Creating Inclusive Learning Environments

This interactive workshop will provide faculty members with the tools, strategies, and frameworks needed to create inclusive learning environments that support diverse students. Through a roundtable discussion format, participants will engage in critical conversations about the challenges and opportunities in fostering inclusivity and accessibility in their courses. Faculty members will 1) Collaboratively explore best practices and identify actionable steps to make their teaching more inclusive, ensuring all students feel valued and supported in their academic journeys, 2) Gain a deeper understanding of the core principles of inclusive education and why they matter, 3) Learn practical strategies for designing and delivering inclusive courses, using frameworks such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL), culturally responsive pedagogy, and active learning, 4) Reflect on their own teaching practices and identify areas for improvement in creating an equitable learning environment, 5) Participate in peer discussions to exchange ideas, challenges, and solutions for enhancing inclusivity in the classroom, and 6) Develop a concrete action plan for implementing inclusive teaching strategies in their own courses. The Creating Inclusive Learning Environments Roundtable is designed to empower faculty members to transform their teaching practices to better serve the diverse needs of their students. By engaging in collaborative discussions and sharing best practices, participants will leave with practical strategies and concrete action plans to foster more inclusive, equitable, and accessible learning environments in their classrooms.
We are Not Alone: The Benefits of Using AI as an Assistant
Presenters: Martha Kelly and Chelsea McNeely
The session will address the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the classroom as well as how to interact with AI to achieve desired results. Participants will learn to create rubrics, assignments, and lectures using AI, working with their own digital materials brought to the session. At the end of the session, participants will be able to use their preferred AI bot to help them create any teaching material that they desire as well as have more knowledge about AI in general. Participants are encouraged to bring course materials (rubrics, assignments, lecture notes, etc.) to this interactive session.
