HIS 111: Fickling Research Project: 4 | Podcasts

Step 4: due 3/5 or 3/6

  • Find a podcast related to your topic. Your phone is the easiest way to do this.
  • Listen + take notes
  • Write a two page summary and analysis:
    • Include citation link (This can be the title of the podcast and the title of the episode)
    • Who made the podcast? What did you learn? Who is the intended audience? How was the podcast helpful? What are the benefits and limitations of this source? How does this add to what you learned in the encyclopedia assignment (Credo) and video (Films on Demand)?
  • Source: the podcast title and episode title

Finding your topic in a podcast:

  • Open Google podcast play or Apple podcast player or download a podcast player like Cast Box.
  • Using the search tool, type in your topic
    • All relevant episodes from various podcasts will show
      • Podcast is like a TV channel (HGTV)
      • Episode is like the show you're watching.
