Scholarly Article Check List!
- an article written by a profession (usually a PhD)
- a long article (usually 6+ pages) *NOTE: this is a distinguishing factor even if the database filters bring back an article, it could be wrong if it is 1-2 pages.
- an article that uses the language in the field (this language is called jargon)
- an article that has a list of references or sources
- the author is researching + discovering something; different from encyclopedia style information
