In 2005, the United Nations General Assembly chose the day of January 27th to memorialize the victims of the Holocaust. The day January 27th was chosen to commemorate the liberation of #Auschwitz-Birkenau. This year, 2025, marks the 80th anniversary of that liberation.
On this date, we remember Holocaust victims by reading their names, by lighting candles, and by learning about the Holocaust.
